OT demos

1. flanger fest: delay and flanger parameters mapped to fader. sound effected is one 2 bar (or so) drum loop (can hear it towards the end).

2. drum loop + delay lock to fader: this demo takes a very simple drum loop and runs it through the delay effect of the OT. the appropriate parameters are locked to the fader to "freeze"/lock part of the delay buffer so it repeats. . . clearly, I am not a DJ (but it's still fun!)

3. ominum 2: three sound, one bar drum beat (i.e. very simple) and sample of chord played on nord rack. one track plays back sliced and altered "version" of drum loop, and another plays a nearly straight version of the original. third track plays back the nord sound.

4. vox + beat (OT demo): short vocal sample and short loop are each played on separate tracks. LFOs, effects, parameter locks. . . etc.

5. same as 4, but with slightly different filter settings to get breathier sound on vocal, and more parameter locks on the beat to destroy it. more.

6. loop + tstretch slides: a short simple drum loop plays. subsequently, the loop's start point is manipulated by an LFO. as the loop is triggered across the pattern, different pitch and timestretch settings are used (parameter locks along with slide track). parameter locks for the stretching and pitching were entered nearly randomly to give an idea of how it might sound -- no care given to clicks. in the waveform, you can see drum hits being cut off.

7. pad to rhythm: chord from Reaktor Prism plays, then is parameter locked into a new sequence. just the pad sound at the start is used for this demo. filter, distortion and delay FX are used. one OT track, with a master track supplying the delay. parameter locks a go-go! just one LFO was used...

8. pad to rhythm 2: same as 7, but oh look, someone invited a neighbour machine. watch out for feedback!

9. 303, rate, rvb, mod: simple 303 sequence of four notes plays on one track. on another track a resampled version of the sequence is pitched up, and the rate of playback is varied by an LFO. the second sequence's timing drifts in and out of step with the other track.

10. (same as 9, but the LFO cycle captured is slightly different)

11. fun with vox: a vocal sample is played, then the rate of playback is varied with parameter locks, with some sliding locks. delay is added and parameter locked. an LFO modulates sample start. sample start parameter is then tweaked manually.

12. beat loop trig: this is a very simple demo -- a loop is retriggered throughout the various patterns, using plocks to change the start of the loop. no effects, no editing, just start parameter and different trig lay out.

13. simple 808: loop made of three 808 samples through filter and reverb effects. parameter locks galore. this is one track of the OT (yes, it's playing different samples on different steps)
